I was just looking at market caps and price x sales figures:

Stock Price Shares Mkt Cap Sales Price x sales

LU 63 1.31B $82.0B $26.00B 3.1x sales

ASND 40 3/16 198MM $ 7.9B $ 1.26B 6.3x sales
NN 16 11/16 177MM $ 2.9B $ 1.13B 2.6x sales
PAIR 7 13/32 70MM $570MM $292MM 1.9x sales
XYLN 11 5/8 43MM $500MM $318MM 1.6x sales

I just don't see LU buying ASND when it can get NN for
significantly less. NN has Cambrian (a DWDM affiliate)
and a wireless product. Also, NN just picked up a
sizeable several hundred million dollar SBC ATM contract.
(I also see tremendous value in PAIR and XYLN, the former
as a DSL/telco play, the latter as a Layer 3 play with
gigabit ethernet and telco presence to boot).
