Hi LT,

Re: look at YHOO hitting new highs the last few weeks as the world economy implodes.

and

I submit that DELL investors have been at the bar for a year now, when they wake up... they're going to have one heck of a headache.

Have you followed any of the links in my profile? Do you understand the implications of nanotechnology?

I see the future as an upward spiral. Old-tech companies, in the next 12 years, will keep doing worse and worse as the technology companies continue to outperform.

This must be the case, because other things being equal, a person with a better tool will outperform a person with a lesser tool.

Perhaps I am manic; I am also depressive at times recently (being home sick for over a month and down 23 pounds, I really miss my job and coworkers (and eating!)). But at least my portfolio is growing while I'm shrinking...

I wish you the utmost success in your endeavors. But please educate yourself on this rapidly approaching technology. There is so much information out there that to me, it seems obvious that this will come to pass. The only question is if we'll live through it.

But as far as being "at the bar" goes, the bar keeps being raised but Dell jumps over it anyway. So I'm not worried about a headache. ;-)

Good trading,
KenB

Lucretius, you got it backwards .... things go up because people keep buying them. Economics 101!

It's called supply and demand, and in this case there is a declining supply (the number of shares of stock due to the repurchase program) and increasing demand due to falling bond yields and increased earnings outlook for the company.
