If I were a new investor in telcom I would not use NT's low pe as a key to buy it. Three or so years back I used pe and psr to buy Bay net instead of the Cisco,,,,and it was a huge mistake. I think Lucent or Cisco would be a much better buy short term, intermediate term, long term ,,,any term than NT. NT is not the leader and is a Canadian company so currency differences must also be factored into the equation .

You're correct. For what it's worth I believe NT's a steal! I had to liquidate most of my Bay Networks holding prior to the conversion. I'd be adding here at $30/share if I could long-term. NT is a stock that could easily triple in 12-18 months once we get over the recession in technology issues.
