FUJITSU: Fujitsu Computers ships Novell NetWare 5 on Teamserver SEP 30, 1998, M2 Communications - Fujitsu Computers today announced its support for NetWare 5, Novell's latest network software environment integrated with Novell Directory Services (NDS). It underlines Fujitsu Computers' pan European strategy to provide Internet standard-enabled solutions through its Intel processor-based teamserver range. Fujitsu Computers will be delivering the proven network reliability, scalability, performance and security of NetWare 5 in Europe through its Intel processor-based systems which extend from the entry-level Intel Pentium II based teamserver Ci, to the 8-way capable Pentium II Xeon based teamserver Mi. The Fujitsu 6-way teamserver Mi has recently succeeded in being one of the first systems to pass the Novell Superlab Challenge for NetWare 5. Stephen Roberts, Fujitsu Server Marketing Director said: "It is thanks to our strong relationship with Novell throughout the 90's that Fujitsu teamserver can deliver today the business benefits of NetWare 5 at the lowest cost of ownership." Also currently shipping for Fujitsu teamservers are IntranetWare 4.11 and ManageWise 2.5. and SFTIII. Fujitsu Ltd is an authorised OEM for Novell. The company works closely with Novell, having a Fujitsu engineer in the Novell laboratories in Provo. In Europe, Fujitsu Computers has a dedicated strategic engineer within Novell Labs European Centre as well as an in-house Novell Authorised self-certification laboratory.
