New to LU, been watching it since around $95, looking for a place to get in, with the market selling off now, does anyone else feel that this is an overreaction to the Fed only lowering rates by 25 BB and not the 50 that people were praying for? Seems that each selloff lasts like 2 days...then back to the uptrend.

Exposure in S.A. is not as great as some, but enough to cause a slowdown in the company. Don't forget that perception of a problem can be a greater problem than the actual problem ;-)

Actually, I just tried to get in under the wire at 69 but was a little to late. Probably just as well, I think it will go down to 65-66 overnight. To be honest, I think we will see some swings in this stock while investors fight between LU's reputation and the sector's general performance.

As far as Oracle, keep an eye on CNNFN's Digital Jam tonight. They should mention it again, they did on MSNBC today.

I'm all visualized out, time for a cold Canadian Lager!

Cheers! Drew.

Mark, see Briefing.com for following in regards to Oracle:
briefing.com (short stories)
" 08:40 ET Oracle Corp. (ORCL) 26: Relational database concern warns in a 10-K filing that it is experiencing pricing pressures which will put pressure on revenues and earnings; implies that it may not meet earnings estimates. "Intense competition in the various markets in which the Company competes may put pressure on the Company to reduce prices on certain products, particularly in the database marketplace where certain vendors offer deep discounts in an effort to recapture or gain market share. In addition, the bundling of software products for promotional purposes or as a long-term pricing strategy by certain of the Company's competitors could have the effect over time of significantly reducing the prices that the Company can charge for its products. Shifts toward the use of operating systems on which the Company experiences relatively greater price competition could result in lower average license prices, thereby reducing license revenues for the Company. Any such price reductions and resulting lower license revenues could have a material adverse effect on the Company's business, results of operations or financial condition if the Company cannot offset these price reductions with a corresponding increase in sales volumes." In spite of comments, stock flat in pre-market trading." Hmmmmm..... Drew.
