Blue's News has updated their Benchmarks page with results from the new Matrox G200 drivers. No much change in Quake2 performance though - G200 still lags Voodoo2 by a large margin.

To be fair, Matrox is supposed to be working on greatly improved Quake drivers which are due out in November.

There is a company doing this, can someone help me out here?

The company is VM labs and the console is Project X. They are planning on using ray tracing or voxel rendering which means they'll need a specific API built for their system. I'm guessing they'll have serious content issues.

Atari just announced an arcade game (Site4) using the MediaGX for the CPU. They don't make any mention of 3D capabilities, but I can't imagine a new arcade game not using 3D. Why use the GX if you're only going to get Audio from it?

A few quick searches didn't turn anything up on the platform. No mention at all on the Atari or Midway home pages.
