Hola, Ashton compadres!! -- A brief refresher for ACA/PUG, & ADP, followers:

- From PUG website, re. the Alberta ACA/PUG discovery: pugres.com

...The Buffalo Hills kimberlite bodies appear to be completely intact and large. Many are near surface and amenable to open pit mining methods. The northern Alberta region offers excellent infrastructure with a very supportive provincial government. Given the large volume of near-surface kimberlite material in K-14 for example, Pure Gold management estimate that a threshold value of $22 per tonne may support an economic mining operation in northern Alberta.

The kimberlites discovered to date represent only a minor part of a large, multi-field province that could prove to contain numerous additional kimberlite pipes. The large size of some of these kimberlites, coupled with broadly favourable indicator mineral chemistry and the presence of diamonds, indicates that the Buffalo Hills province may have the potential to host economic diamond deposits.
- Nelson Baker, P.Eng.

As Baker explains, Ashton's near-surface kimberlite(s) will make for a very inexpensive open pit operation.
This is no small proclamation.

- Alberta offers a honey of a mining environment. Mining costs are whittled down to a fraction of, for example, NWT costs.
Like Wayne Gretsky says, watch where the puck will be, not so much where it is... ;)

Adios,
