JRH, I am not big in use any TA on AFS. I have been trading this in and out together with KRB as a primary proxy of the financials (secondary proxy of the overall market, inverse tertiary proxy for gold). I covered AFS already today for a quick 2 points. So did KRB for a 1 pt move, which almost exactly paid for my new DELL computer I ordered last night. I think our strategy is different. Since I don't know your strategy, I can only advise capital preservation and try to go one step ahead against the trend, e.g. buy (cover) low, sell (short) high. I am assuming the current trend is a sideway market with big volatility. LT's doom and gloom scenario is possible, but I'm not a high risk taker and bet all on it. As you know, I'm a conservative investor that takes what the market gives me as long as I make sure I have a steady winning program. No heroic necessary. Only winning counts.
