That was exactly my point. This BAD company AMD has shipped chips which do not work with some OS's, and has not bothered to inform the buyers what the nature of the problem is and wether or not it will occur in other situations.

Everyone who now buys the 350 will have doubts as to wether the problem is really fixed.

I wouldn't Buy a K6-350 with this sort of a cloud overhanging. I hope IBM and CPQ do the "testing" for AMD and stop shipping BROKEN systems to the unsuspecting consumer.

Maybe they'll decide to dump AMD altogether, its just not worth it.
