j,

My husband is allergic to seafood, and our favorite restaurant continues to offer it on the menu, do you think we should file a grievance with the local health board, or perhaps a lawsuit? His doctor prescribed a medication to take via injection in case of exposure, but I frankly think that's unfair. What do you think? bp

j_b, I agree home tutoring or some other approach is acceptable to deal with this. One thing where we may differ is, I believe that IF it is a school policy to not allow peanuts (however ill advised that policy may be) then it needs to be taken very seriously by parents. If some kid brings peanuts to school and its a mistake, fine. But if it obviously is a deliberate act by some parent on a tirade, then I think at minimum there should be a fine for this behavior.
