stan,

Also, there are many people who believe RMBS is a very manipulated stock because of the small float, so it may not be a good indicator of supply and demand on a regular basis.

Often times, RMBS MM's will stick it to the shorts as soon as they know they need to cover. They will aggressively move the ask higher and higher knowing full well the shorts are trembling. You will then see crazed buying (short covering), which is what happened on MON, IMO.

They love every minute of it! I hear Dell MM's can be very tough on shorts as well.

Please forgive this newbie jumping in...

Know Thy Stock. A stock that has a strong short following is going to have a P & F chart (or any other TA) that will be undiscernible if you do not know the fundamentals.

While I have got the nerve to stick my head up I would like to thank all who contribute. I have lurked for months. Not because I am a natural lurker, though I am pretty practiced, but because besides being the most informative, interesting, and positive thread, you all seem to be having so much fun! And I am amazed at patience with which you deal with the same questions and doubts over and over again.
