Well, then wouldn't he have to do, nah, it'd have to be: "Yo, no mi comprende..." (Um, I may be wrong, my Spanish ain't great, working it out from Italian.)

To get REALLY reflexive would mean casting the entire phrase in the romance version of the passive voice. I doubt Rico's ever used a passive form in his life.

Yes, well, I was trying to catch up on other threads in my 25 minutes of computer time today, and didn't want to get too deeply into it. What 'me no comprende' means en castellano is 'he/she/it doesn't understand me'. Maybe it was a typo, and he meant 'me no comprendo', then the literal translation would be 'i don't understand myself'.

Either of which could be, in fact, quite true -g-
