The left-wing and Black Caucus has hardly embraced Powell in the past. Powell would likely run as a Republican not Democrat. He would be able to keep the social conservatives at arms length. He would have a more difficult time with the liberals.

I think Powell is pro-choice. I guess he won't be able to count on the support of the RR, CC, etc.
