pierre--

most of the bad news i am seeing so far seems to be directed at the big caps...so, maybe we are going to see a lot of money rotating into small caps?

maybe that will be the mechanism that brings down the indexes. of course, redemptions from mutuals will also help<G>.

good luck to all,
trey

Pierre, re:"How much is that RUT in the window"

I agree. Watching various groups over the past weeks, it's become apparent that money is rapidly rotating, churning. It's tough to tell whether this is orchestrated or simply the result of coincident directives across the community. By "coincident directives" I mean that fund managers may be guided by compensation, mgt pressure, etc., to remain fully invested in equities -- despite any instinct to move toward cash, bonds; such would result in a defensive, stay on the move posture... and a high volume environment.

Of course, this is all just conjecture. <g>
