<<I believe it has been proven that Starr has connections to the radical right. In particular, he defended the interests of the Tobacco Industry(wealthy enemies of the Pres.) >> This is a bit ingenuous, since Al Gore has not only been supported by the tobacco interests, he was part of them for a while. Tobacco interests are not enemies of the President. In fact, his campaign received money from them, as did the campaigns of many other Democrats (and Republicans). <<There's another connection to Mr. Mellon Scaife, the radical-right millionaire who funds ultra-conservative institutions & publications. Paula Jones' lawyers are paid by The Rutherford Institute -- one of the causes he funds>> This rumor also turned out to not be true. It was debunked the day after it was made. However, there has been a connection made between Salon magazine and large contributions to the Democrat party. Notice how we can go back and forth on these issues. Although I firmly believe the points you made were without merit, even if they were true, they have nothing to do with Clinton or his actions. Starr is not responsible for Clinton's actions - only Bill Clinton is responsible for the actions of Bill Clinton. It doesn't matter who uncovered them, or how they did it (no, I am not condoning anyone's excessive actions). In the end, Clinton has to accept responsibility for his actions. It is that lack of acceptance that has continued to frustrate and anger many people. If Congress feels that Starr went overboard in his zeal, or that Linda Tripp broke a law, those issues can be pursued. However, they are separate from the Clinton issues, and you shouldn't let yourself continue to be distracted.
