Tundra or anyone,

a thought ....

what if LTCM was or still is attacking HK. With the HKMA strategies, they are about to lose there shirt. Then the US Fed Reserve stepped in and orchestrated this bail out. Does that mean HKMA is now at war with the Feds?

Needless to say, there are no indications that LTCM was active in HK but they easily could have been. Let us further assume that HKMA was about to win the battle before the Feds step in. As a result of the Fed support, HK fell. Now we have a new definition for moral hazard.
