Nope. They are going to buy DSP Communications and are paying through the nose for it, too.

Yahoo says that the deal, valued at $450-600 million, will allow lucent to get consistent DSP chips for expansion into new markets like South America and Japan, where DSP has a great business going.

Lucent apparently was not satisfied with the product it was getting from Motorola.....gee what a surprise that is.

Too late to buy DSP though. It closed up 20% and probably will open at the buyout price, minus a few dollars as is usually the case.

Oh, well. I didn't like DSP as a stock anyway....guess they look better now.
