Is there a way to create a scan to make a list of an IRL industry group? I would like to use IRL industry groups, and NOT use SIC codes (the "if SIC=#" line).

I don't know how to scan for stocks in a specific industry group, IRL. However there is an easy way to make a list of all of the stocks in a specific industry group.

First use Charts|Search for Symbol|Search for Stock Symbol to select a specific industry group. The symbols for industry groups go from !ID001 to !ID202. Next select a group and click on OK to display a chart of the index for the group. Next press F2 to display a list of the stocks in a group in a display similar to a spread sheet. You now have two choices.

Choice one selecting "Save this file" will save a list of the stocks in a group in a file in your Qp2data\Members directory. Quotes Plus saves the list in a file using the industry group symbol and a .lst suffix for a file name.

Choice two selecting "Save as a different name" will save a list of the stocks in a file in a directory and with a file name of your choice. The default is the Qp2data\Lists directory and a .lst suffix. The default is convenient if you want to use the list as an input for a scan.
