Interesting news release today: biz.yahoo.com

This is quite an ambitious undertaking! Though limited by my lack of knowledge of the advertising industry, I interpret this to be an effort to build a kind of community Web-site for advertising agencies of all kinds and sizes. This is exactly the type of thing the Web is for--fast access to information by large amounts of interested people.

This is the beginning of a campaign to build what may become a widely used Web site--powered by the imaging and data base organizational prowess of Warp 10.

The growth of this will be interesting to watch. I don't understand the industry enough to have much of an opinion as to whether there will be enough incentive for agencies to become members, or whether the revenues to Warp10 from advertising and sponsorship could be significant or not. Does anyone out there have an opinion from the advertising community perspective?

Does anyone care? I'm curious at this point.

This also piques my curiousity about possible other future endeavors similar in nature. How about an Art-Gallery.com, or sportscards-Gallery.com, or whatever. The possibilities of similar business alignments as this one are many. The Warp 10/HP ignite combination appears to enable large Web-sites composed of kind of sub or mini-Websites of the members. I'm not a Web-techi, but would be interested in any opinions with regard to this kind of approach Warp is taking also. Regards, Ted
