Glenn do I get a clue that you are now an amzn bull.
Or should we go back to your short pick page.
Or have you simply now learned how to trade with your pocket,
rather than your heart.

swagman,

You have a lot of or in the post<G> I am far from an Amazon bull. In fact, I am as bearish on their long term fundamentals as one could be. I truly believe they will go bankrupt but since there are so many differing opinions, time is the only way to get an answer. One thing I like about SI is the posts are kept forever. I can go back and point to them after a few years have gone by.

The trading aspect is different. I had never shorted a stock that literally tripled in a month or so. I typically take large positions and AMZN was no different. I normally have deep enough pockets to wait out a bounce or sell-off depending if I am long or short and wait until the fundamentals kick it. I admit to all on this thread that Amazon went far higher than I ever imagined. I was incorrect on my trading strategy. I learned to adjust so that I can make my losses back via other stocks and on AMZN too.

I believe I have read ever bullish and bearish argument on Amazon. Although I could be wrong, my personal research tells me that this business model will fail. I am not going to go broke while this is occurring. Therefore, I will the play the momentum so I may remain on top of this stock and eventually feel that enjoyment of victory when they fail.

You mentioned trading with my heart. I have some strange feelings about businesses that make millionaires and billionaires out of the insiders before that business can turn a profit. I believe that to be wrong. William Harmond made a post once that sticks in my mind and it is very accurate. This is the stock market. Nothing more and nothing less.
