Ibexx, This could be a truly visionary alliance. Thanks for the post. Picture this: Call (or data) originates on a cellular phone(especially digital), goes to an ATI relay, to a Cisco voice enabled router, over the internet, to an ATI relay on the other side of the country (or world), to cell phone or directly to PC. Voila!, bye, bye Ma Bell and baby Bells too! Regards, Dave

It would help us all gain some insight to this development to know who Cisco's other directors were. In addition to Morgridge, members of the Cisco board are: Carol Bartz, chairman and CEO of Autodesk, Inc.; John Chambers, president and CEO of Cisco; Mary A. Cirillo, executive vice president of Bankers Trust; James F. Gibbons, professor of electrical engineering and special counsel for industrial relations at Stanford University; Edward R. Kozel, senior vice president of Cisco; James C. Morgan, chairman and CEO of Applied Materials, Inc.; Robert L. Puette, president and CEO of Centigram Communications Corp.; Masayoshi Son, president and CEO of Softbank Corp.; Donald Valentine, general partner of Sequoia Capital; and Steven M. West, president and CEO of Hitachi Data Systems. Does anyone see any pattern here? Regards, Dave
