BTW2...a rumor I heard said SFA is not gunna have such a hot report here. Par for the course these days. CYA.

Carnac, this "dump to tape" is a bummer. Somehow I don't relish the thought of a mechanical tape changer in back of my MPEG-2 HDD system. Disc based, random access is the way to go. Gotta wait for the price to come down on DVD-RAM or the other writable high density optical disc technologies.
