So why short LBFC now? If they've pre-sold their loans through early next year, earnings should hold up for the next 2 quarters. By then, the market for their loans may have recovered. What will be the catalyst to drive down the stock price (other then your recommendation)? Why not wait?

Mr. Pink, are you just shorting any FBR IPO companies? Not a bad strategy lately, but LBFC doesn't seem to have any accounting problems to hide, unlike the other sub-prime lenders.

I have no position in LBFC, but I'd been thinking of buying, not shorting.
