Whipsaw, I suggest you look at my posts regarding p/es and the mathematical relationship between long-term interest rates and stock valuations.

When do you recall long-term interest rates this low? I believe that this is the lowest they have been for sixty odd years! And sixty odd years ago we were in a depression.

I could not agree with you more. In an economic downturn, these companies (PC's) will be lucky to have a P/E above 10. Just go back to 1995. So in a perfect world, DELL is probably just an overvalued stock, not extremely. But, when was the last time you heard someone talking about a perfect world???
