Jach, you keep throwing this crap at us, and you refuse to face or understand the reality of the "Gorilla" position Cisco is in! The only reason I bother to post to you is because you are now consuming about every 4th post on this thread with with totally unrealistic and uninformed opinions. GO AWAY!!!!

Except innovation is still moving very fast with regard to enterprise technology. Convergence is changing the rules. Sure there will be prices erosion on simple hubs and routers, but Cisco continues to show it can maintain margins. The reason they do is because they continue to bring new unique products to market which have compelling stories. Data/Voice integration is one of these areas. Data over cable is another. Residential multiservice broadband over DSL is another. Big Fast Routing for core networks is another. The list goes on and on.

As for your contention that the Cat is losing market share. Perhaps you need to go back and look at that data again. Cisco is gaining market share according to Verticle Systems, IDC, Dataquest, and Del'Oro.

Jach,

FORE Warned today - looking down 6 points. Looks bad today and of course everyone will want to get out tomorrow. Maybe you're right!!! Maybe we will see $55. Like I said - load up the truck baby!!! Glad I've got cash waitin this time. I finally won't miss this one.

Should have stuck with your original premise about overall market slowdown. Pointing to a bunch of other issues that are noise weakens what people think of you. I'll point out that if Cisco's competitors are gaining market share then they should certainly not be warning. Hmmmm, wonder what that could mean. I see cisco going down....buy. Cisco pleases market by meeting estimates in early November and boing! Easy money.

mkt now is way oversold, CSCO near term is a buy as it has came down within the range

FED has cut the rate and mkt is acting as though it was not; CSCO has already indicated that they'll meet this qtr, next qtr may ne an issue but at this price it's a near term buy
look for mkt to rebounce pretty good near close
