I sometimes wonder is y2k gets near the press/hype we do in the west. In a large part of the world, just making it to the next day is a priority. However, we won't really know ourselves how much of what we have been told is actually the true state of repairs (with it's consequences) until it actually arrives. My employer has repeatedly assured us that we are compliant. The consensus in my work place is that since we are compliant and that it is in the best interest of every company to be compliant, that everyone who matters will become compliant in time. Even the highly educated and trained people I work with are not very interested in or deep thinkers on this subject. Y2k will be one of the best tools to measure ourselves that has come along since the last war. Regards, Ron
