Can anyone help me with this one?

From; Communications : 'A Fibre Channel Future?'

Industry experts predict the next generation of SANs will take on additional duties in
the network. "The next phase will be when servers aren't even dealing with requests,"
Ancor's Davis says. "Instead, the SAN will talk directly to the client." >>

I couldn't forget this and went back to find it again. It brings up major legacy issues for
companies like SUNW, who make the bulk of their money selling big servers, and
maybe they wouldn't really want the clients to bypass the server and talk directly to the
SAN? Open Q) does SUNW really want the SAN to succeed? Any thoughts
appreciated.
