I try and use only 2 indices... the sector and the industry, each with only the l/t filter at 3 days

Len,

Suggestion: Add at least one general market index. Sometimes the general market is moving one way or the other and a particular sector or industry group hasn't felt the impact yet, but eventually it will.

Jay.

I noticed that when you have an accurate verify period, it trains the same way it predicted when you shorten the verify period. My guess is that you would probably get the same prediction on that net if you were to train all the data.

Len, "probably" is the key word in the above. And thats exactly why I'm going to maintain two nets for each stock. I want to be certain that I'm getting the same recommendation with all of the data trained.

Jay

Thanks for the tip. I started training a net with these inputs last night and after only an hour I was seeing a much cleaner diagonal than I am used to even with only 20 neurons.

Is anyone else frustrated with using Microsoft Investor for downloading quotes? I've resorted to editing the .csv files by hand using quotes from other services. This would be impractical for a large number of symbols though.
