DTLN: Gary, I am interested on satellite internet access something DTLN does not provide. I was still interested to see if they could provided their financial service offerings in South America, I called them and it looks like they can do Mexico and Alaska with the new bird but this is no good for me.

I didn't ask but it looks like their equipment does provide two way communication with the satellite. DirecPC, the only satellite internet access available as of now [I am not 100% sure] ( from huges) requires a phone line now which is a negative for me as I want to use the system in a place where there are no phones. I am still trying to find if DirectPC is available in SA, DirectTV is already there. My mother subscribes and loves it!

My bottom line after reading the sec fillings is that i don't know how much of a future DTLN has but I have seen much worse financials than the ones shown by this company. For me: neither long nor short.

Gary,

This is the reason Smith Barney is in Omaha!

<Finally, the Company's Board of Directors hired an investment banker, Salomon Smith Barney, to maximize shareholder value.>

From news letter to share holders from below:

dtn.com

Smith Barney is BEING PAID! I believe anyone would show up if they were offered to be paid to do so! Sure they would like to find someone to buy the company for they would get big bucks in doing so, but believe me they are not up in Omaha for free even if they can't find a buyer!

<Now Bill, I am not bold enough to say that you will be proven wrong on your prediction.>

Gary, are you long the stock? If so you do not have very much confidence in your position from the above statement! At least Bill has the guts to put his money where his mouth is!

Hank

<<I politely asked you >>

No you acted like a jerk by calling my opinion "drivel".

<<you for factual evidence >>

What is it that you want? Transcripts of my phone conversations? A summary of my meeting with some DTN subscribers? I only have so much time...and a good short-seller doesn't show all his cards at once :)

<<Do you know for a fact that there are no prospective buyers in the wings? >>

Yes, I know for a fact that there are no serious bids for the company.

<<We've already established that you cannot properly read an income statement>>

How did we establish that?

<<your analysis of the advertising revenue still makes me laugh to this day>>

The advertising revenue sucks and isn't growing. This is an important point. If DTLN's demos and subscriber base were that exciting, the opposite would be true. If you want to position DTLN as a "media" company, then explain how to profitably leverage their subscriber base.

<<Furthermore, satellite-based transmission is the wave of the future. Ever heard of two guys named Craig McCaw and Bill Gates? >>

Yes, they are two succesful businessmen who started legitimate, fast growing enterprises. I also know they don't have anything to do with
garbage like DTLN.

<<Only time will tell which one of us is ultimately right>>

You got that right!!!

<<Good luck>>

Believe me, luck has nothing to do with this.
