Hard to say what will happen. Anything that disappoints is getting slaughtered. The past few years stocks would drop 30-50% on good size disappointments, but now we get the 42-9, 90-11, 60-6.5 type stuff like prior to 1991, and it is common. Check out cbtsy. Bought a little at 32 and 22...now at 9. Bought much more at 7.5, but will have to wait on further news. It is dangerous to load up the truck on these disasters, since the market is now overreacting on the downside, for what are good reasons..poor visibility in most markets.Fed is too tight and yes I know it might not matter but you take the steps that help. When you proceed down the path that has brought disaster in the past, what do you expect to get?

We are getting, and are setup to continue, with a protracted type disaster that will cause boomers to flee. Imagine folks buying 30 year bonds with a 4.9% yield!? Aint it something?

As I said about a 3 weeks ago, 6400 could happen. These up and down movements will cause more money to be lost than an 87 type tidlewave. The fed must take an easier policy and japan must take the necessary steps to reform. Even that may be late now. Then Starr's next report will hit. MSFT has a trial this month. The networkers are getting killed. Anyone see any safe havens?

Did just cover a couple short positions, in intc and csco. Just posting it since I was silly enough to post previous shorts taken. Intc short was about even, csco was very useful. Trading my a** off. Too much work to say the least.

Still holding amat and msft short positions. Will probably cover msft at under 105 if it happens, or on any very positive news on the trial.
