I don't understand why they won't be able to sell their loans in 6 months. Their loans average 76% LTV, and 86% are to A/B borrowers. This is not particularly risky stuff, should be plenty of people willing to buy it. Please enlighten me as to why their sales will fall off a cliff in six months.

What just happened with FP? It was 10 1/2, then it popped to 12 3/4? Datek had the bid higher than the ask, and it's positive now. The Yahoo thread has a rumor that there is a conf call with Bear Stearns this afternoon. Can anyone confirm?
