Humbly report, Lisa, once upon a time the show/remove navigation feature could be activated/disabled in the Options menu. A while back Brad stated that it would possibly be removed, but I can't remember exactly why, possibly redundancy (not about to go searching for that post right now). Seems this is now a reality, but Jill doesn't know it yet.

Anyway, that's how it looks to me.

Also, Lisa, the navigation feature, when enabled, put a column down the left hand side of the screen. This cut down on the effective screen size by about 20%. I found this annoying, so I disabled it.
