My only point was that there were similarities in market valuation & stock valuation. What was happening in the world at that time is obviously different than now. I think you (or anyone) COULD make a convincing argument that this time should be different from a market valuation & stock valuation standpoint. The argument would include statistics on how the market tends to move with the change in the # of people turning 50. Compare a chart of the S&P along with the demographic stat I mentioned & you will see a very high correlation. Add this to corporate productivity...Forget it, I'm just regurgitating Harry Dent's theories. Read his books & tell me he's wrong.
