I think the online discount brokerages have real time "snap"(shot) quotes, but the real time programs have streaming data on multiple symbols. I can follow stocks, options, and indicies all on one page, continuously updated. I also have live charts that can be arranged along-side the quotes (by moving and adjusting multiple windows on the screen).

I use DTN.IQ at a cost of ~$1,300 per year (which paid for itself in one trade, and again in this morning's purchase at $60.50) www.dtn.com

It's cheaper than most, and it doesn't require any special gear (it runs over my modem via the internet, and I can do multiple tasking [e-mail, SI, etc.] on the modem without crashing the DTN program).

Regards,

LoD
