talking about green going into the hotel business....green is understating greens role in this whole thing...green is talking to congress like adolescents...blah blah blah

one thing I do agree with

I think they just suspended trading on the Lisbon stock exchange. My broker tells me
that foreign investors are fleeing "en masse".

There is a rumour circling in the banking sector that somthing "really bad" is about to
emerge from Bankers Trust. No details though. However, I really believe in the
"cockroach theory"about bad news: If you see one, it's usually not alone...

Should be an interesting day in the US.

BBC report that Lisbon was halted after a 15% decline. First time halt in European
Union during this crisis. London is only down 2.5% though but Germany down 6.75%
so it's not a totally coordinated BK at this stage.

Stock mutual-fund investors are more upbeat in September

TrimTabs.com Investment Research, which tracks small-investor sentiment, estimated that $19.3 billion had come into stock mutual funds through last Monday, while AMG Data Services, another company that tracks mutual-fund flows, said stock funds took in about $5 billion in September.
