They already have suffered the same fate....just a lot earlier. You are aware that they have already bought back about 300k shares in August and are probably on track to have purchased about the same amount in September. This accounts for about 4.5% of their total float. This adds some short term buoyancy to the stock price I am hoping they will be breaking out the BI numbers in this last quarter earnings release....in mid-October. The share price has already built into it, the business-transitioning-related (flattening of) earnings. A PE of 10 is pretty low darn low. Cognos' PE is in the 20 times range.....a big difference. Nortel is now experiencing what HUM went through....transitioning pains with the Bay acquisition. What hurts is that I am also holding Nortel stock.
