I like it. Company insiders like it. The P/E is incredibly low. Yield is wonderful. Earnings will fall as estimates have been cut severely but I believe that is factored into the stock. Even if we are headed into a world wide recession people need oil. We know there is a limited supply of oil and any more unrest in those areas which supply the majority of the world's oil also means more profits for ESV in the future. Sure the stock could fall further from here but the upside looks much better than the downside risk to me. If you have cash I would initiate a position slowly. Mr Greenspan's small interest rate cut did nothing for the overall market and October is historically the most volatile month. I would love to join you in such a purchase but my cash is all tied up right now.
