I called the market maker this morning to see what was going on. He said another MM picked up 500 shares at 5/8, likely on a market order, and then flipped them to him at 11/16. Nothing else was offered at less than 1 1/8 and he figured it was a good time to start picking some up.

Should be news coming up shortly.

john - no one...but i would imagine that any private placement would likely be done at a price that is attractive relative to market conditions when the placement happens...

Very nice recovery today. Things are beginning to heat up activity-wise, should be an interesting month. Any future private placement will only be available to accredited investors (net worth $1M and more) so us little guys don't have to worry about that John (yet...).

Some Bolivia news:

October 2, 1998

Workers staged a one-day strike in Bolivia's capital city La Paz
yesterday to protest increases in electricity and water rates since
privatization. The strike was well supported by unions and civic groups despite being declared illegal by Bolivian president, Hugo Banzer.
