Hi Dennis....I'll try and put together a long convoluted, pretentious response later this evening....with all kinds of pretty charts on some stocks mentioned here recently....ya know...to kinda take attention away from what I'm really saying...or in my case not saying.

Seriously, I will post later and show why I think signals are the key to success here.

Stan

Hi Dennis, I ran short on time....but here are some charts that I
think show the efficacy of TA. Good systems are stable and reliable
and they get you out in time.

These are moving average crosses....not taking into consideration
volume changes, accumulation nor any of the other indictors that
can help in the decision making process.

You can see how effective they are on a few stocks I charted based on
this thread's discussion.

P&F has the same effect...get's you in and out in a safe manner. It's results
would probably fall somewhere in between the riskier daily chart and the
more conservative weekly chart.

It's too late and I'm too tired to fully launch into why I think TA is more
reliable than FA, though obviously my disdain for FA in the earlier post was
somewhat in jest. ALSO...I'm too tired to check for errors in these charts
so beware...
TA does remove the guesswork and much of the angst...if you buy and sell on signals...not perceptions of FA.

Perhaps more at a later date.

By the way I'll be gone much of today and most of the weekend so....
discussion of these results will be sporadic...
