If anyone is in the mood for some wild speculation, they could take a look at Intercardia (ITRC). It's basically a gamble on how the ongoing Bextra (bucindolol) trial for congestive heart failure comes out. The drug is all theirs now, and it's in late Phase III. Concerns are there is now some competition, the trial hasn't been stopped yet which people had been hoping for, and the IPIC connection.

Market cap of less than $30m, cash of around $20m with some more to come from Astra-Merck because of the partnership termination, which Astra Merck was resisting. Might be just the sort of thing that CHIR was looking for - a substantial, late-phase cardiac product.

I picked up a little this morning at 4. If the Bextra trial is a bust it'll go to less than cash, but if it succeeds it should go back into the 20's or more.

Sure it might be useful, but I'll keep my $175 in my pocket. Hey V1 if you get it for work, pass me on a copy.
