No wonder. Here's a sampling of his sage comments:

13:03 RUBIN: US IN "CLOSE CONSULTATION WITH BRAZIL".
13:03 RUBIN: JAPAN MUST ACHIEVE STRONG, DEMAND-LED GROWTH.
13:03 RUBIN: CRISIS DUE TO FLAWED ECONOMIES, CHANGING MARKETS, HUMAN NATURE.
13:02 RUBIN: MARKETS HAVE TENDENCY TO GO TO EXTREMES AT TIMES.
13:02 RUBIN REPEATS CALL FOR NEW GLOBAL ECONOMIC FRAMEWORK.
13:02 RUBIN: GLOBAL CRISIS WILL TAKE SOME TIME TO SOLVE.
13:02 RUBIN: IMF POLICIES MOSTLY "SENSIBLE".
13:02 RUBIN: MARKET CAN'T SOLVE GLOBAL CRISIS BY ITSELF.

Market can't solve global crisis. What can? Sounds ominous to me.
