Analysis.. Today's activity in the market proved once again that nursing your brokerage, bank or tech stocks would have been disasterous. "Hold on they will come back in the long run." Yes, after 60% loss in some brokerages or banks, of course they will come back but in the meantime you are left holding an empty money bag, unable to trade and relegated to window shop while others are buying the creme de la creme at 50% discount! Or making 10% plus on a daytrade or even more on a swing trade.

The companies with great earnings (WWW,SWY,FDO) were sacrificed today on the alter of panic and fear. Those companies will have their day to shine. It's important not to be 'sentimental' about your stocks. Set a tight stop (mine are 5% sometimes even less), if they hit that's that, go on to the next trade. I did not like losing COST and my profit in SWY, but had I held, I would not have been able to make other more successful trades.

The really slaughtered stocks will make for another feast next week or even as early as tomorrow. Score another point for daytraders and swing traders..
