Exactly...although when the third Friday in Oct comes, I think Gold puts will be the only losers out there. For the next 6 months or so our mind-set has to get changed to shorts and puts. The Virtual Exchange virtualstockexchange.com has sure helped me get into the idea of shorting along with R/S and so on. So I am slowly getting convinced that is where it is at right now. I am up about 200,000.00 in Virtual dollars (wish it was really mine) since I started to do the shorting thing. Any longs on blue chip I have from now on will be covered with a cheap put. Sure takes the sting out of drops even though one may be holding them for awhile. Learning the options takes time especially keeping the time limit in mind. Knowing and watching futures is also a must in this game. Keep up the good work. Really appreciate this valuable thread, Jim S
