Those both keepers for now
...plenty of shopping
days left til Christmas.

On days like this lots of individual
stocks look good for cherrypicking too,
but I have already gone on too much
about how tasty microcap biotech is.
If bear market continues through December,
tax loss season will make for incredible
bargains there, especially after a couple
more 1/4pt eases.

Anybody catch that senate hearing?
Greenspan uses too many words, but still,
he is widely respected and probably right
--so where do these guys get off browbeating
him like that? Amusing to watch the senators
try to use greenspeak however, stumbling over
the extra verbage.

I have a few words for senators:
Lay off Greenspan, don't spend the
temporary surplus, cancel c-130 program
(oh, I guess that is for congressmen
Gingrich), and stop taxing my savings.
Seems backwards for my interest income
to be taxed at a higher rate than Bill
Gates' long term cap gains. Oh well, at
least MSFT chairman pays more taxes than
I pay. Hmmm, lets do the math; Mr. Gates paid
40,000 times more taxes that I did this year.
Why, I think we need a few more billionaires.
