Boxer has been ahead in the polls until very recently, when Fong drew into a dead heat. Boxer is the incumbent, giving her some advantage. Her ads are far better done than Fong's, and address issues that resonate with Californians (pro-choice, pro gun control, pro environment). If she wins, it will be because she actually has a personality, and she has a stand on many issues that many Californians agree with. Clinton and his problems will have no effect here (IMHO).
