Supreming AV/Lab...
I'm in China on a business trip, there are some SVCD players selling for CNY1700 (about USD200) with OSD, Dolby Digital, Karaoke function,...it is by Shinco, but the name of the chipset is Supreming AV/Lab. Zoran's SVCD trademark is SupraAV, so where is the name Supreming AV/Lab come from, counterfeited chip? The salesman claimed that the chip is from USA.
There is a CVCD player by Idall using C-Cube and the salesman is showing the Idall's CVCD and Shinco's SVCD players, and he has showed that the SVCD disks can't be properly playback on the CVCD player, the images on the TV is showing a lot of small square boxes and it is not clear, the CVCD and SVCD player can playback the CVCD disk pretty well. Finally, I saw the customer bought the Shinco's SVCD player.
There are some SVCD and CVCD disks in the market, but a lot of old VCD disks are on sale (only CNY5.00 or USD0.70 a piece) the original price is CNY15.00 to CNY30.00, seem like they are preparing for the arrival of SVCD.

It seems to me ZRAN is just moving down with the rest of the tech sector. By the way, do you have any info on when earnings are scheduled to be released?
