Seems like they are as "technology challenged" as AMD and NSM. It is easy in theory to put in place a .25um process, but it is much harder to get top performance from that process. I think this quote from the URL sums it up pretty well. --> "The challenge in WinChip is getting to higher and higher clock speeds," said Dave Côté, vice president of marketing for the Santa Clara, Calif., company. "We're shipping 240-, 225-, and 200-MHz versions, but the market's at 266 MHz." Just at 266mhz, this guy is still a year behind in his "thinking" ...
