OSCI, Connors is big on historical volatility..Basically the longer the time frame a historical volatility ratio reading is under 50%, the larger the market move will be...Ideally, you would like to see the historical volatility ratio reading stay under 50% for more than one day..The more days that it is under 50%, the more likely the market will explode...Combine HV with other basic TA knowledge, RS over 30 line or not making lower lows with price, upturn in smoothed rate of change, 180's, expansion breakouts, etc....you have a better chance for continuing momentum and riding a real winnner...I have one gold stock that I will enter today, depending on strength of overall market, where the 6 and 10 historical volatility is under 50% of the 100 day reading...Plus, on this one the 3 day moving average has been greater than 10 day...Will see if I get my pop in the next three days on this one or not....Got to run..Wife upset that I am on here, on my day off...Regards, Mark P.S.
