Please list major acquisitions by MSFT,INTC, or DELL, respectively. Huh? Are you trying to compare MSFT, INTC, and DELL with LU??? Please,... Maybe DEC would be a closer comparison. MSFT, INTC, and DELL each used innovative technologies or processes as competitive weapons to defeat their competitors. They have very fast-moving, efficient, and highly-competitive corporate environments. On the other hand, Lucent has more employees than any of those other three companies will ever have. Lucent inherited the voice market in the US from the old days of AT&T. What it does not have is the data market. AT&T goes to Ascend, not Lucent for its data switching needs. That's an embarrasment to Lucent!!! bucky89
