Pat,

Article clearly states this service will use Cisco BPX ATM switches. I think CSCO's marketing may have had less to do with this one than you implied. (You just don't like those guys, do you <ggg>)

Here's another interesting article on IP vs ATM and why I think it's time that TM sells:

Cheers,

Pat and Peppe, are we talking about the same network.Celtream(ATM )was lunched last year:

"This contract award keeps BT at the forefront of broadband and data service
delivery in the U.K. and internationally," said Roger Gilbert, Head of BT's
Data Services Marketing.

"Our national and international Cellstream (ATM) service, successfully
launched this year, has established BT ATM service leadership. As well as
seeing continued Cellstream service growth we expect to continue to lead the
marketplace by exploiting the technology to offer new and innovative solutions
to our customers, including metropolitan area-based services and integration of
local and wide area services," continued Gilbert.

The Q is who,got multiservices backbone platform and who access part. This are two different part.
I will find out more detalis.
It was on NN cc that BT orders are strong. Also J.Chambers of CSCO on last cc admitted that CSCO lost large contract with BT!!!
